The Speed of Information

Never has there been a generation so saturated with information at such lightening speed. News today travels fast.

Unlike in generations before where it might take a while to discover what took place and by then much of what needed to be done was already done. Today we learn things as they unfold in real time.

This can have a dramatic affect upon your soul.

Feeling responsible for things all over the world happening in real time can become overwhelming quickly.

Then as if the news cycles were not enough, introduce social media where now everyone has a desire to be a reporter and we are made aware of every disaster, every human tragedy, every evil, every injustice, every bad thing taking place anywhere and everywhere.

If you do not know how to discern what is truly yours to be concerned with and what to feed your soul to overtake all the negative news you might be receiving then you will begin to feel like you are drowning.

You need good news for your soul. You need beauty and hope. You need His breath, His rest and His promises.

Jesus loves you, He is for you, He will never leave you nor will He ever forsake you. He walks with His own through anything and everything and He has gone before us and triumphed over our enemy.

He has sent to us the Holy Spirit to comfort, teach, guide and empower us to live an abundant life. Every tragedy is not yours to be anxious about, grieve over and try to fix.

He has called you for such a time as this in the specific place He has placed you to serve.

Ask the Holy Spirit to burden you with what He has determined is truly yours and tell the enemy to take a hike when He attempts to shame you for not taking on every problem every where.

We need you, to be the best you, where you are doing you for the kingdom of God.
